Athlean-X Review

Athlean-X is a fitness and nutrition program created by Jeff Cavaliere, a physical therapist who served for 3 years as head strength coach of the New York Mets and was voted one of the top 50 trainers in the United States. He also has one of the most impressive builds I’ve seen (especially biceps). You can check out his pictures here. It’s easy to see that he not only talks the talk but walks the walk as well.

On this page I want to review the AthleanX program to help you decide whether or not it’s for you.

What’s AthleanX

The AthleanX program is meant for people who want to get into athletic shape. The emphasis is on athletic as you don’t just burn body fat and build muscle mass with this program. That happens as a side effect. The purpose of the program is to help you improve your physical ability to be able to perform better at any given sport or physical activity.

Remember that Jeff Caveliere is a trainer of athletes so this is not just a pump it till you drop it muscle building program. It has a lot more to do with athletic ability than that.

What this means is that this program is not right for you if you’re looking to become a giant muscular hulk like Arnold in his prime. With all due respect to the big man, he may be an inspiration to us all, but he was all about getting huge, not about real sport or physical ability.

Athlean-X is for you if you want to get an athletic looking body. Yes, you will still achieve a tremendous muscle growth but you won’t become a Bodybuilder giant.

But is that what you really want? Sure, muscles are great, but most women prefer an athletic looking man and not just a pumped up dude.

How Does Athlean-X Work?

The AthleanX program is a 12 week program (which you can do over) of structured nutrition and workouts (it has just a one time fee). You get a Master exercise manual with over 140 exercises all of which are explained in detail with pictures to show proper form. Although you will know some of these exercises, expect to have your eyes opened to a whole new range of possibilities.

You also get a 12 week workout program that tells you what you need to do every single day, exactly which exercises to do from the Master manual, how many reps, in which order, and so on.

These workouts can be very hard at first as you will probably need to change your routine. Remember, this is about athletic ability, not just muscle building. I did a workout today and it was hard but also satisfying.

You also get a detailed 12 week nutrition program. You can stray from it a bit, so it’s not too rigid, but you still need to follow it as closely as you can.

I believe that with these workouts you’re going to develop a lot of strength very fast and build some lean muscle tissue as well. And it’s all going to look good and symmetrical because you’re working on your athletic ability as well.

If you’re looking to improve at some sport or want to build lean muscle tissue and look more like a professional athlete, this is a program I highly recommend and think you should have. It’s affordable, powerful, and can really change how your body looks and feels.
