Reality, In the event you think that it is possible to get great abs by just working out on your abdominal muscles then think again. You need to work out a balanced exercising regime on your whole body to obtain them! You'll burn your fat more efficiently if your entire body is exercised.

I think that there is a golden point between myofibrillar and sarcoplasmic muscle growth that creates the perfect physique. One strategy is to build quick mass training for sarcoplasmic growth and then firm up those mass gains with myofibrillar hypertrophy. You could also do this the opposite way, training first for myofibrillar growth to allow the skin to shrink down over your smaller sized muscles, and then adding a surge of sarcoplasmic hypertrophy to fill those muscles with fluid. Either road you choose, the results will be amazing when combining these two types of muscle growth.

I am a 55 yr old male. I have completed all levels of TacFit Commando program: Recruit, Grunt, Commando.

9 mos babee of mobility, compensation, moderate and hard.

I have often believed the program should also be geared to the "older" crowd. Why? Because it incorporates flexibility training (presara yoga) that us older folks need. It is very demanding but you could "scale" Scale means cut back on the standards to fit your fitness and ability. It is mentally demanding. It stresses the core and puts you on the clock. You will be challenged (I didn't know the body could move so many ways) If it is "hard" then Scott knows it.

Who may want to be careful? Those w/ back issues and perhaps knee issue. My back and knees are good, I'm lucky. But my shoulder hurts and the program has lots of rotation movements with forward pressure on the shoulders.

My health specs were pretty good after it: low cholesterol, heart 57 beats per minute resting.

Now I'm doing Scotts Kettlebell spetznaz program. Next on my to do list is Scott's dumbbell mass assault which I have also.

Even if you are cautious about TacFit Commando, get it to understand his system which you can then apply to other methods of training. You will learn excellent core training.

I really like it. If you think you are hardcore, try this. If you aren't hard core, try it also.

Hi,

Thanks for the wonderful info. Even after going to gym regularly was not able to do pull ups. But now I think I have got a way out of it. Thanks a ton.

I'm 29 and going for BMQ (Canadian Forces) in May. I know I'm not old, but was told that I'm "outside the general demograpic" for the infantry. I've been training myself or the past few months, cross-fit, running with 30lbs in a plate carrier, that sort of thing, but I've been looking for something like this, something based on ACTUAL military training. I want get to basic and show what someone "outside the general demographic" can do.
looking forward to the challenge.

I've been using this program for a month now and was attracted to it for the benefits it promised to offer those of us who have no access to training facilities.
I am a pretty typical unfit seaman who has toyed with various training ideas over the years but mostly been stymied for these reasons.
Tacfit is proving to be as useful a program as I had hoped for and can be done anywhere aboard the ship. The program is also extremely intense within a short time frame which is perfect.
Enjoyed reading this great review.
